Literature & Books

I admit being a bookworm at times. If I can get my hands on a good book I will not leave it until I reach the last page (and even then I might even flip back and read over the good parts again!). Here I will present various books and a link for your to buy them through Amazon (that way I get some money and we're all very, very happy :).

Oops: temporarily the Amazon links are not working! Sorry 'bout that.

Dean R. Koontz
Dean R. Koontz is one of my favorite authors. He write thrillers, but unlike Steven King he tends to keep it less paranormal and more down to Earth. His writing is incredibly detailed and vivid, his stories are as twisted as anything and I have yet to find one of his books I didn't like. Without giving out anything favorite DRK books (in no particular order): Watchers, Sole Survivor, Intensity, Strange Highways, Dragon Tears, Whispers, Hideaway and more. If you like thrillers pick up one of his books. I'm sure you'll pick up all the others, too.

Scott Adams
Scott Adams is one of my favorite authors. It all started when I happend to cross the Dilbert Principle. This finely written tome basically makes fun of buisness. Using cartoons, examples, e-mail sent to him and his eloquent speech. Yhis is one book you'll read again and again (I read this 12 times since summer 1997). It is the first part of my holly bible of Dilbert.
The next step was Dilbert Future. Adams proves once again that he's a genius. This is an incredible funny book by the author of the Dilbert Principle. I think I've read this book about 11 times (not kidding!) in a period of a year. It is the second part of my holy bible of Dilbert.
Both of these books are excellent.

Speaking of books, try Literature.Org. You can get tons of free good (but old) writing. Stuff like Edgar Allan Poe ("Once upon a midnight dreary..." and John Milton ("Paradise Lost...").
